Quantizing Audio Clips

Pro Tools lets you quantize audio clip start times (or sync points) using the Quantize operation. Audio clip start times (or sync points) are quantized to the nearest quantize grid value.

To quantize audio clips:

1 Select the audio clips you want to quantize.

Quantizing clip groups only adjust the location of the clip group start (or sync point). To quantize the underlying sliced clips in a clip group, you must first ungroup, then quantize, and then regroup. For more information on clip groups, see Clip Groups.

2 Choose Events > Event Operations > Quantize.

3 In the Quantize window, select Audio Clips from the What to Quantize pop-up menu.

4 Set the Quantize Grid and Options settings.

5 Click Apply.

The clip start times (or sync points if present) are quantized according to the quantize settings.
